The Culture Trip recently published an article entitled: The World’s 12 Most Astonishing Coastlines
Among them was Na Pali Coast State Wilderness Park, Hawaii
Here’s what they had to say about it: “Nestled on the rugged northwestern edge of Hawaii’s Kauai Island, Na Pali Coast State Wilderness Park is a breathtaking landscape where towering peaks and deep valleys cared by cascading waterfalls and streams meet the blissful blue of the Pacific Ocean. A truly remote and unspoiled wilderness, the park can only be accessed via the Kalalau Trail – a precarious 17 kilometer trek not for the faint-hearted that traverses Na Pali’s deep gorges and clifftops and is often listed amongst the most dangerous hikes in the world.”
Other coastlines in the top 12 were:
- Halong Bay, Vietnam
- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Lofoten Islands, Norway
- Great Ocean Road, Australia
- Big Sur, California, USA
- Legzira Beach, Morocco
- South Georgia Island
- Cinque Terre, Italy
- Cape Town, South Africa
- Skeleton Coast National Park, Namibia
- Antrim Coast, Northern Ireland
